The Old Boys is a series of portraits of old trees in free-motion stitch on canvas. They are real trees, but my interpretation of my original photographs is organic – using the needle as a pencil, letting it swirl, meander and shade in lines of thread instead of graphite.

They are all A1 size, and are triple-mounted behind glass and board in matching dark brown frames. Sizes stated are of images – add 14 cm to top and side edges, and 17 cm to bottom edge for mount and frame. The Yew and the Oak are currently on show at the Marshall Murray Gallery in Monaco, France.
